In other awesome news, I was chosen as the only student from Maine College of Art to recieve a scholarship to go to Haystack for an academic conference on craft for 4 days this summer in July. So excited!

Sketchbook Update…..

Here are some new drawings from my sketchbook. I have used these as designs on my new pots. Pictures of them to come, they’re in the glaze kiln at this very moment!

First Friday

I decided last minute to try to sell my cupcake at the first Friday art walk in the lobby at MECA and it turned out to be a great success! I sold 7 cupcakes in an hour and a half. I have a renewed motivation to make more cupcakes, this is great!

So the school year is winding down…..

and the pressure to find a new job is stronger than ever. I applied for a job at Portland Pottery and have yet to hear back from them about a position but I am still hopeful.

I would like to find a studio space to work in over the summer. The thought of not touching clay for 4 months terrifies me.

I had my junior review today. It went…well…. it went not so well. However, I received much guidance from my teachers and I am motivated to work work work. I will improve my craft and design.
